Unfortunately, Medicare does not offer a rebate for couple therapy sessions. Some private health insurers will offer a rebate for couple therapy. This varies between providers and clients should contact their provider for an estimate of any available rebate.
Rates for telehealth sessions are the same as the individual sessions above.
If you are interested in couple therapy via telehealth please be in contact with reception who will put you in touch with a therapist to discuss your goals for therapy and whether telehealth is appropriate for you and your partner.

To be eligible to receive Medicare rebates for psychological services, a person must be referred by their GP or in some instances by another medical specialist. Speak to your GP about your eligibility to claim Medicare benefits and the best person to make your referral.
A current Mental Health Care Plan referral will allow you to claim a Medicare rebate for a maximum of 10 appointments in a calendar year.
The available rebates for a standard appointment are currently as follows:
Clinical Psychologist: $141.85
Registered Psychologist: $96.65
You cannot use your private health insurance ancillary cover to top up the Medicare rebates.
You should evaluate whether you will use Medicare or your private health insurance ancillary cover to pay for any psychological services you receive. That is, you can either access rebates from Medicare by following the claiming process, or claim where available on your insurer's ancillary benefits.
The best financial outcome may vary depending on the treatment sought and the level of cover held.
Note: The Australian Psychological Society National Schedule of Recommended Fees endorses a $311 fee for a 46-60 minute consultation.
